Dairy Danger: It's About Time
to Become Dairy-Free for
Ultimate Health

Milk: It Does a Body Good. Or does it? Few people understand the dairy danger imposed in the middle of last century when fresh raw milk from the milk-man turned into store-bought pasteurized / homogenized milk.

Pasteurization: It is important to know the reason behind pasteurization. If you don't know, pasteurization is the process of heating up dairy to very high temperatures and then cooling it down, with the purpose of killing all bacteria and disease-causing agents. But why start doing this in the first place? Were people getting sick due to bacteria in the milk?

Actually, this was only true when farmers in the 1940s and 50s started to feed the cattle super-cheap grain that was the waste from alcohol distilleries (for the purpose of saving money and increasing profits). They soon found out that cattle were getting very sick and producing sub-par, disease filled-milk. It was then that people first started getting sick from milk consumption. Instead of re-introducing healthier feed, the farmers decided on pasteurizing the milk.

Pasteurizing the unhealthy milk (I would bet that all of today's non-organic milk is very unhealthy and poorly fed), did in fact stop people from getting acutely sick from the bacteria. However, they didn't realize that raw milk also has lots of beneficial bacteria and enzymes that get killed in pasteurization as well. In addition, the calcium that you supposedly get with milk is essentially insoluble and indigestible after being pasteurized. Did you ever wonder why osteoporosis is so widespread in this country when dairy consumption is one of the highest in the world?

Pasteurization also turns milk sugar, lactose, into beta-lactose, which is more rapidly absorbed and promotes hunger. Calves that are fed pasteurized milk almost routinely get sick and many die. I wonder why this fact alone doesn't push farmers to realize the dairy danger involved when milk is pasteurized.

There is a push from the government against raw milk (which is hard to find and often illegal). The reason is that there is no regulation to make the milk clean (organic and disease-free). If there were a regulation, or if farmers would be responsible in keeping their cows healthy and well-fed (many are), than raw milk would be every bit as safe as pasteurized, and much more healthy as well. This would eliminate any dairy danger.

Homogenization: It IS legal to buy non-homogenized milk that is pasteurized. I highly recommend this, because homogenization is another huge reason why processed dairy is so unhealthy.

Let's look at the history again. After farmers began pasteurizing the milk because bacteria was running rampant among unhealthy cows, they found that sediment of killed bacteria and white blood cells was collecting at the bottom. (Eating the white blood cells in raw form was actually beneficial for the immune system, and not beneficial after pasteurized). Homogenization eliminated the sediment at the bottom, and at the same time eliminated the cream at the top of the milk. Everything was mixed together and all the particles were cut up into microscopic pieces.After being homogenized many scientists and doctors argue that the fat molecules are broken up in to such small particles, that they get stuck in your arteries and intestinal walls, leading to heart disease and leaky gut syndrome. This is controversial; however, if you look at the rate of heart disease (and leaky gut which is generally undiagnosed) since the 1940s and 50s, you'll definitely see a large increase. Correlation doesn't always equal causation, but often it does. In addition, I usually find that the scientists arguing on the natural side of the coin (see colonics, ear candling pages) tend to be correct. And, it has been found that lactose intolerant people easily tolerate raw milk, proving that there is definitely dairy danger in irritating the stomach, if nothing else is true.

What should you do to eliminate the dairy danger? Simply cut out all non-raw dairy except for a small amount of butter, if desired.

1. Replace milk with rice milk or almond milk (soy has its own health issues).

2. Cut out all cheese, yogurt, cream cheese, etc.

3. If you must have milk, buy non-homogenized and low-temperature pasteurized milk or...
